Positively Naperville Editor’s Notes

Oh! The changing seasons along the Naperville Riverwalk!  Naperville’s natural treasure is located in the heart of downtown Naperville near Nichols Library, North Central College and more than 130 shops and restaurants. Enjoy a stroll of the linear park from Hillside Road to Jefferson Avenue where winding brick paths follow the DuPage River.

During the autumn, the Paddle Boat Quarry with the Jaycees Marina near the Gregory Gazebo shuts down until next Memorial Day weekend. And weekly Carillon Concerts take a break from the summer series most Tuesdays at Rotary Hill, presenting a variety of international carilloneurs performing on the 72-bells in Moser Tower.

Visitors will find the farmer’s plow on a monument  located along South  Eagle Street as a tribute to all the farm families who actively helped to settle the community. A nearby fishing pier offers a beautiful sight for anglers of all ages right in the heart of Naperville.

For visitor information, stop by River Square, upstairs where you’ll find The Visitors Center is open from 10AM-4PM daily. River Square is located at the corner of Washington and Chicago.   Entrance to the second level is around back by the parking lot or at the angle where the L-shaped building meets in the center.

Since 1831, the west branch of the DuPage River has attracted settlers who look toward the future and take risks in this remarkable place called Naperville!
