The Downtown Naperville Spring Style Weekend returns March 2-4 focused on fashion, food and fun for women of all ages! Casey’s Seafood Counter offers Fresh Monk Fish at $15.49 per pound and from the kitchen Shrimp Salad at $8.99 per pound while supplies last. Check out the Seafood Counter all during Lent.  This week’s Saturday specials until 7PM include Casey’s Atlantic Salmon Saturday Only $9.98 per lb. and Casey’s Housemade Cauliflower Mashed Only $4.99 per lb. Meanwhile, Casey’s Deli & Gourmet Section features plenty of scrumptious super selections every day so folks can rediscover all the benefits of mealtime.  And it’s time to put in an order for Casey’s famous Corned Beef for St. Patrick’s Day.

Naperville VFW ‘All You Can Eat’ Fish Fry – 4:30 – 7:30PM | $12, seniors $10 and children $7; 3 and under are free

The Naperville VFW “All You Can Eat” Fish Fry is open to the public every Friday from 4:30 to 7:30PM now through March 30 at the Judd Kendall VFW, 908 W. Jackson St., Naperville. The buffet menu varies, but attendees can expect eight hot items, including two kinds of fish, chicken, salad and vegetables, plus rolls, desert and coffee, all of which are included in the dinner price. The buffet is provided by Belgio’s Catering. A full menu is available at www.napervfw3873.org. A full bar is also available. Learn about the services and resources available to job seekers at the Community Career Center including one-on-one appointments with volunteer career coaches covering career exploration, job search strategy, networking, resume review, interviewing, and LinkedIn. In addition, the CCC offers job search related workshops, networking and accountability groups, use of workstations and support from the staff and career coaches. Membership is nominal for a one-year period. Free to all job seekers / No need to RSVP.

North Central College hosts the Chords for Kids Concert, a free show for children with special needs and their families at 7PM Saturday, March 3, in the Wentz Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. The music will feature classical songs to more popular tunes that are sure to delight. Admission is free, but tickets are required. Church services in the German language will be held at St. John United Church of Christ at 11:30AM on Sunday, March 4. The service will be led by Pastor Dr. Egon Gerdes, and all are welcome to attend. St. John UCC is located at 1190 Olesen Drive. German services are held on the first Sunday of every month and will continue on April 1 and May 6. For more information, call (630) 355-5208.

On March 10, 2018, Rotary Sunrise will lead the way for its annual St. Paddys Day 5K. Registration is now in progress.

Keep Moving to help keep local charities running! Register now for the first running event of the season at PN’s Runs, Walks and Bike Rides that will keep you outdoors for more than a good cause beginning on March 10, 2018, when the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise presents its annual St. Paddy’s 5K just before the WSI St. Patrick’s Parade in downtown Naperville. Registration to participate in both events is now in progress.

For all the special events at Quigley’s Irish Pub timed for St. Patrick’s Day including the kid-friendly Photos with the Leprechaun at Quigley’s from 12:30-3:30PM on Sun., March 11, visit www.quigleysirishpub.com. Note also that St. Patrick’s Day celebrations at Quigley’s on March 10 and March 17 are for ages 21 and older on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations are unavailable on those two Saturdays when everybody can be Irish. Festivities at Quigley’s include live music on March 10 and March 17 with a cover charge of $5 per person.

Weekends, Music & More!

Start with breakfast from 10AM to Noon at Quigley’s Irish Pub on Saturdays and Sundays.  And stay for the live band beginning at 8:30PM. Brunch is served throughout downtown Naperville, too.

Celebrate with the West Suburban Irish and friends with Quiz NIghts on the first Tuesday of most months and during a “session” of traditional Irish tunes on the third Wednesday of the month at Quigley’s.

And on that note, thanks for supporting live music such as the sounds of sessions (the third Wednesday of the month) and bands at Quigley’s Irish Pub (Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays) or local bands at Club Mamalu’s on the first Friday of the month with OMT lite and friends. No cover.
