With so many interesting and fun fabrics in the decorating world right now, it seems everything goes! Choose from bright large florals to retro bold prints to sophisticated ikats.
And why not use fabric as art? If draperies and furniture are out of the budget right now, think about using some interesting fabrics in interesting ways. Yes, you can just add a new pillow or two to your sofa. Just think out of the box.
Perhaps purchase a yard of a really special fabric and then stretch it around an open wood frame, secured with staples to the back and…instant art! Or simply frame several squares of whimsical print fabrics and hang. Change them out seasonally for a new look several times a year.
Cover an old cork board with fabric for a functional yet modern look. I recently covered my entire desk top with fabric. This idea proved to be a great way to add a new look to old worn table top surfaces.
