Things to do around Naperville this weekend: June 21-23

Update / Summer NMB band concerts begin at 7:30PM Thursdays through Aug. 15.  A special program begins at 6PM June 27, featuring the District 204 Alumni Band Concert. The District 204 Alumni Band contains alumni, faculty, and friends of the District 204 music program. The concert will feature many popular melodies and the works of celebrated band composer and arranger, Alfred Reed.

At 7:30PM June 27, the NMB Prelude to its Independence Day Concert will feature the “1812 Overture,” complete with cannons, to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United States on July 4, 1776, one week before the official federal holiday. Public Naperville Trolley Tours every Friday!

One-Hour Historic Trolley Tour of Naperville! Every Friday at 11AM during June, July, and August. (no tour on 8/16). $18 per person. Children’s 30 minute Trolley ride! Every Friday at 10:15AM during June, July, and August (not available on 8/16). $8 per person. 60th Annual Fine Art Fair hosted by the Naperville Woman’s Club is 10AM to 5PM Saturday and Sunday. Over 120 National Artists will have their original artwork for sale. Also: Food, beer & wine, music, kids tent, silent auction, Empty Bowls, interactive public mural, 3D chalk Artist—plus, the historic buildings are open with interpreters such as the postman at the Paw Paw Post Office. www.napervillewomansclub.org. Casey’s Foods fires up the grill on Saturdays and Sundays – 11AM–2PM | Cost varies with purchase

Casey’s Foods located at Naperville Plaza will be firing up its grill every Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 2PM through October, weather permitting. Choose from a variety of options, including burgers, brats, tacos or the weekly special. Add a dollar and get chips and a drink. It’s great food, at a good price, in a fun atmosphere.

Naperville Municipal Band Concerts & Y Family Movies Nights in Central Park

Naperville Municipal Band celebrates its 160th year during its annual summer concert series Thursday evenings through Aug. 15, 2019. Strike up the band that’s been here quite some time!

YMCA presents it outdoor family summer movie series in Central Park. Admission is free of charge.

First up, “Ralph Breaks the Internet” was scheduled at dusk Fri., June 14. “Captain America the First Avenger” is next on Fri., July 5. Then it’s “Sweet Life of Pete” on Sat., July 27, “Incredibles 2” on Fri., Aug. 9, and “Aquaman” on Fri., Aug. 23.
