Greetings to PN / June 2014 / Volume 13 #10

-

Most recent greeting is posted at top. Occasionally, Greetings to PN also are linked to other online PN stories. Many of these greetings, edited for space for the printed paper, will appear in the next issue of PN.

Thank you for keeping greetings brief. And thanks for sending your thoughts about this community with your signature. We welcome them!

To PN: I was in a restaurant with my family last week, and a woman kept looking at me.  After dinner, she came over and asked me if I were Tim Mitchinson.  I said yes and she said she was a former neighbor of mine, when I was growing up in Elmhurst. We reminisced, and I introduced her to everyone at the table. Then she said, “I read your column every month in ‘Positively Naperville’ and really enjoy it.” It’s nice to hear from readers!  Thanks for the publishing. —Tim Mitchenson

To PN: At the end of the day, no matter what kind of day you’ve had, remember something that made you smile or laugh and relive that moment. (This thought came with jokes for Gender Chuckles.)  —Tom Wehrli

To PN: The Second (Indianhead) Division Association will be holding its annual national reunion in Omaha, Nebraska this year. We would like to let veterans of the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division know about our organization and of our upcoming reunion. With your assistance, we can reach a great number of these veterans… The Second (Indianhead) Division Association is searching for anyone who served in the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division at any time.  For information about the association and our 93rd annual reunion in Omaha, Nebraska from September 16 – 20, 2014, contact secretary-treasurer, Bob Haynes, at 2idahq@comcast.net or (224) 225-1202.

—Mike Davino, Membership/Public Relations Chairman, The Second (Indianhead) Division Association, Inc.

To Columnist Ed Channell: I (Ron) read yet another of your word spins, “Breaking House Rules”, saw a note that said you like feedback and thought I would tell you how much I appreciate your work. Below you have a shortened record of that feedback…   —Barbara and Ron Garavalia
