What is SCORE?
Since 1964, SCORE “Mentors to America’s Small Business” has helped more than 10 million aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners through mentoring and business workshops. More then 10,000 volunteer business mentors in over 300 chapters serve their communities through entrepreneur education dedicated to the formation, growth and success of small businesses.
SCORE Fox Valley has 80 mentors with a wide variety of business expertise, in both for profit and nonprofit enterprises. Mentoring is always confidential and free of charge. The workshops and Round Tables offered are also free of charge with a few exceptions.
Fox Valley SCORE recognized for outstanding program
Fox Valley SCORE Chapter was recognized for having the most Outstanding Client Education Program in the Nation. More than 200 free events were offered with interest to entrepreneurs and small business owners. For the fourth year in a row the Fox Valley Chapter was awarded Platinum Status. Only 20 of 300 chapters nationwide receive this honor. The Fox Valley Chapter serves DuPage, Kane, Will and the eastern parts of McHenry and DeKalb counties.
