The Exchange Club of Naperville will host its four-day Ribfest at Knoch Park through July 6. Enjoy ribs, music and family fun. Headliners include Billy Idol, Flo Rida, Brantley Glibert and Bad Company. Thursday 

Naperville Municipal Band Concert – 6PM | Free
Central Park – 104 E Benton Ave. Naperville, IL 60540
The Naperville Municipal Band will perform an Independence Day Concert, America’s Composers. Note the early start time at 6PM so concert-goers may enjoy the fireworks. This week’s concert is sponsored by Kevin McQuillan Law Offices with the Bake Sale in the Gazebo is hosted by the Naperville Area AAUW.

Lima Lima Fly Over Naperville – 6:15PM

Ribfest Fireworks – 9:30PM, Weather Permitting

The annual Ribfest Fireworks will be on display beginning at 9:30PM. Fireworks can be viewed from many neighboring parks and downtown Naperville.

Public Naperville Trolley Tours every Friday!

One-Hour Historic Trolley Tour of Naperville! Every Friday at 11AM during June, July, and August. (no tour on 8/16). $18 per person. Children’s 30 minute Trolley ride! Every Friday at 10:15AM during June, July, and August (not available on 8/16). $8 per person. Trolley Tours meet at the “Trolley Stop” on Jackson Avenue at Eagle Street (Kiddie corner from address of 305 Jackson Ave., Naperville). Online tickets at napervilletrolley.com.

Centennial Beach – 500 W. Jackson Ave. Naperville, IL 60540
Weather permitting, Centennial Beach is now open daily for the season. Alert! Adult float is every Saturday and Sunday, 9AM to 10:55AM.

Casey’s Foods fires up the grill on Saturdays and Sundays – 11AM–2PM | Cost varies with purchase
Casey’s Foods – 124 W Gartner Rd, Naperville, IL 60540
Casey’s Foods located at Naperville Plaza will be firing up its grill every Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 2PM through October, weather permitting. Choose from a variety of options, including burgers, brats, tacos or the weekly special. Add a dollar and get chips and a drink. It’s great food, at a good price, in a fun atmosphere.

In addition to 19 locations in downtown Naperville, find Waldo hiding at Busey Bank, Casey’s Foods and Oswald’s Pharmacy and seven other independent businesses around town. Take a ‘Tour de Independents’!

Make a Hypertufa Container – 3 for $35. Hypertufa is a lightweight concrete container that can withstand the winter. Its airy structure makes it a great planter for succulents. Choose from several different shapes and sizes or bring your own container to use as a mold. Dress to make a mess. Church services in the German language will be held at St. John United Church of Christ at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 7. The service will be led by Pastor Dr. Klaus-Peter Adam, and all are welcome to attend. St. John UCC is located at 1190 Olesen Drive. German-language services are held on the first Sunday of every month and will continue on August 4 and September 1. For more information, call (630) 355-5208.

Have you ever envied that super hero as he scales down the side of a building? If so, your chance has come! On Sept. 14, Operation Support Our Troops-America, will bring Over the Edge to Hotel Arista in CityGate Centre. Partnering with Over the Edge Global, OSOT-America and its participants will be rappelling down the side of the hotel to raise funds and awareness for the OSOT-America mission. Naperville Municipal Band Concerts & Y Family Movies Nights in Central Park

Naperville Municipal Band celebrates its 160th year during its annual summer concert series at 7:30PM Thursday evenings through Aug. 15, 2019.  Admission is free of charge. Strike up the band that’s been here quite some time!

YMCA presents its outdoor family summer movie series in Central Park. Admission is free of charge.

First up, “Ralph Breaks the Internet” was scheduled at dusk Fri., June 14. “Captain America the First Avenger” is next on Fri., July 5. Then it’s “Sweet Life of Pete” on Sat., July 27, “Incredibles 2” on Fri., Aug. 9, and “Aquaman” on Fri., Aug. 23.
