Original Post, April 27, 2024 / When the 2024 Naperville Woman’s Club Fine Art & Artisan Fair opens at 10AM Sat., June 29, and again on Sun., June 30, visitors will have a chance to help bring an 8×12-foot mural to life on the beautifully landscaped grounds of Naper Settlement.
Vandana Jain’s “Bumble Ballet” is the selected painting for the interactive mural that will be featured, welcoming participation from 10AM to 5PM both days. This painting will be broken down into 216 8×8-inch sections for visitors of all ages to paint from a sample. Each completed section will be stapled to an 8×12-foot frame and eventually the entire painting will come to life.
Chicago artist Vandana Jain
Vandana Jain, a Chicago-based artist, uses vibrant oil over a mixed media to capture the lively spirit of wildlife and landscapes. Inspired by her childhood in India and fueled by her engineering career, Vandana has showcased her art in galleries and at renowned art festivals. Each painting is a celebration of nature’s beauty from majestic leopards to birds and suburban bunnies and reflects her passion for art nurtured by her travels across Africa, India and America.
“Bumble Ballet is like a thrilling play showing how we pass around good vibes just as bumble bees move pollen from one flower to another,” noted Jain in the news release.
