Today we’re remembering centenarian Dick Knosher

Lifelong Naperville resident Walter Richard “Dick” Knosher, age 100, died Fri., June 7, 2019, at Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility in Naperville. He was born on June 3, 1919. 

Knosher was an Army Air Corp veteran of W.W. II and had worked for Hines Veteran’s Hospital for many years. He was a Life member of the American Legion Post 43 in Naperville, having served as a Past Commander for the organization that will celebrate its 100th anniversary this month.

Knosher played the alto horn in the Naperville Municipal Band from 1935 to 1969. 

Visitation is set from 3PM to 8PM Wed., June 12, 2019, at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 516 S. Washington Street. Additional visitation begins at 10AM until the funeral service at 11AM on Thurs., June 13, 2019, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1550 Modaff Road.
