If Christmas or New Year’s presented plans to tie the knot, Naper Settlement’s annual Wedding Showcase is sure to offer just the right help for couples looking for ideas to create a day to remember.

The Wedding Showcase is set from 10AM to 3PM on Sat., Jan. 6, and will feature wedding professionals and more than 50 vendors from all over the Chicago area in the Pre-Emption House and Century Memorial Chapel.

Century Memorial Chapel, a historic, nondenominational chapel built in 1864, is among the many highlights of the showcase.

The public is welcome. Admission is free of charge.

Naper Settlement is located at 523 S. Webster St., just off Aurora Ave., in downtown Naperville.

For more information, call (630) 420-6010 or visit www.napersettlement.org/weddingshowcase.

Consultants, too!

“Brides and grooms who attend the Wedding Showcase will have an opportunity to have personal one-on-one consultations with wedding-related vendors that include musicians, wedding planners, florists, plus so much more,” said Grace Michalak, Naper Settlement’s Guest Services Representative. “Each of these wedding professionals will be able to help make their special day unique and successful!”

Chicago-based event planners, A Perfect Pair, will be one of the many vendors at the Wedding Showcase to meet with guests, explain their business and share their love for planning weddings and parties. Business owners, Lauren Jackson and Emilee Lales, who started out as co-workers then quickly became best friends, began A Perfect Pair in late 2012. A Perfect Pair is a Chicago-based event boutique that finds joy in helping their clients narrow their choices and plan the wedding they always dreamed about.

“Event planners help make your wedding day as smooth and stress-free as possible,” said Lales. “Our couples love having someone who can handle all the details of the big day with a touch of humor and grace.”

Lales says they love Naper Settlement’s Wedding Showcase, because many of the featured vendors are small businesses, and it’s the perfect way for any couple to meet many vendors at once and get a good sense of what’s offered locally.

From make-up artists to bakers, brides and grooms will be able to have personal consultations with each vendor to figure out what they’ll need to plan their ideal wedding. Some participating vendors have also donated items as raffle prizes and guests who receive a stamp at participating booths will be eligible to enter.

Attendees also will be able to step inside Naper Settlement’s Century Memorial Chapel. The charm and elegance of the historic Chapel comes through in its original stained glass windows and pews. With seating for up to 175 guests, the Century Memorial Chapel is the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony.
