Singing for Seniors returns October 1

-

The 17th annual Singing for Seniors will take the stage at 3PM on Sat., Oct. 1 at its senior-friendly location, Community Christian Church (The Yellow Box), at the intersection of Rickert and Ogden across from Fair Oaks Ford.

Seniors are invited to sit back, relax and enjoy an afternoon concert designed just for them. The church offers ample parking and is handicap accessible.

Once again, show organizers promise 90 minutes of great music and entertainment featuring “Girls Like Us,” Chicago Magazine’s top-rated cabaret act from Chicago, that will be performing a complete set of popular songs by the greatest women singers of the 50’s , 60’s and 70’s! Doris Day, Carol King and Bette Midler to name just a few!

Also included is a men’s small group from the hometown favorite Naperville Men’s Glee Club that simply call themselves “Friends.” They promise to provide an excellent show opener.

To compliment all that, Singing for Seniors also will present its 2016 Singing for Seniors Performance Scholarship winner Zach Honer from Neuqua Valley High School. A few other musical surprises are planned, sure to delight the crowd.

Singing for Seniors is a FREE event for people age 55 and better. Free transportation is available for Naperville residents in need of a ride. Open seating is available and no tickets are necessary.

To make group reservations or to arrange free transportation, call (630) 637-2636 or visit www.SingingForSeniors.org.
