Above / Road closures and detours will begin for inaugural event at 6:30AM Sunday, April 24, 2016, for the run that originates on the campus of North Central College.

The City of Naperville reminds all residents and interested parties of the upcoming street closures and detours that will be in effect throughout the inaugural Naperville Women’s Half Marathon and 5K on Sunday, April 24.
The newest community running and walking event is designed for female-only runners of all ability levels, hosted by North Central College and presented by the Naperville Running Company. Beneficiaries of the inaugural run will be Little Friends, Inc., and 360 Youth Services.
The race begins and ends at the campus of North Central College with the half marathon starting at 7AM and the 5K starting at 7:20AM.
Runners will travel through residential neighborhoods, downtown Naperville and back to North Central College.
See maps that show how runners will leave the back gate area of Benedetti-Wehril Stadium on E. Porter Avenue and head south to S. Washington Street.
Expect delays from 6:30AM through early afternoon on April 24
The race route requires temporary street closures and police controlled intersections beginning at approximately 6:30AM Maps depicting the closures and detours, including detour routes for churches impacted by the race, are available at www.naperville.il.us/womenshalfmarathon.aspx. Motorists should expect delays throughout the morning and early afternoon in and around the race area and should take alternate routes or allow extra time to get to their destination.
