Naperville Jaycees Mardi Gras is set for Feb. 19

-

On the heels of Fat Tuesday, Feb. 9, revelers will have another chance ten days later to get into New Orleans-style spirit while helping the local community at the same time.

The Naperville Jaycees Mardi Gras will host their annual Bids for Beads fundraiser 7:30PM, Fri., Feb. 19. The popular event again will be held at White Eagle Golf Club.

As an added attraction, JCI World President Pachal Dike plans to attend the Naperville Jaycees Mardi Gras Celebration, just one of three stops during his visit to Chicago from Nigeria.

As JCI President, Dike focuses on engaging, motivating and challenging JCI members and young people around the world to rise up and “just act” by addressing the challenges of today’s world by creating sustainable impact in their communities. He believes each solution provided is further impact made and therefore one more step toward a peaceful world.

According to Jaycees publicist John Trojanowski, the all-volunteer service club once again will provide the public with a “Taste of Bourbon Street” when they transform White Eagle Golf Club’s main ballroom into a New Orleans themed celebration.

In addition to fun, the Naperville Jaycees will be providing Cajun inspired heavy appetizers, drink tickets, games, themed character actors, dancing to the live musical stylings of “Love & Money,” and a chance to bid on engaging silent and live auction items, Trojanowski said.

Tickets are $50 in advance or $60 at the door. All proceeds from the event will go to the Naperville Jaycees; who, in turn, donate a portion of the proceeds back into non-profit organizations in the DuPage County area.

Plan to put on purplegold and green beads!

Money raised at Mardi Gras, as well as other fundraisers like Last Fling, will benefit many organizations that the Naperville Jaycees work hard to support in the Naperville area and throughout DuPage County.  During the past decade, nonprofit organizations in the community and throughout DuPage County received more than two million of the proceeds from Naperville Jaycees fundraisers.

The Jaycees always seek sponsors and auction items to help underwrite their events.

Participants must be 21 or over to attend. Tickets are $50 per person in advance or $60 per person at the door.
