Focus on Safety – Healthy, Wealthy and Wise 2015 Senior Conference

-

For six years the Naperville-Lisle TRIAD has been going strong serving seniors in the community. The Naperville-Lisle TRIAD is a collaborative partnership between law enforcement, senior citizens and community groups.

Senior TRIAD organizations have been developed in communities throughout Illinois and the nation to promote crime prevention for older adults. TRIAD empowers seniors to be more involved in community programs, educational seminars, and focuses on the importance of health and safety. The mission is to enhance the quality of life for all older adults.

Some of the events the Naperville-Lisle TRIAD organize are the Spring & Fall car care clinic, a senior picnic, crime prevention education programs, holiday events and the annual Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Senior conference.

The 2015 Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Senior conference will take place from 8AM-12:15PM on Friday, September 18, 2015, at the Naperville Municipal Center.

This year we are pleased to welcome noted author and inspirational speaker Jamie Lee Silver. She will share “Lessons for Living Longer, Healthier and Happier Lives.” A message we all could use!

The new Naperville Senior Task Force will also be sharing what community resources are available to seniors and listening to feedback on what is important to Naperville older adults.

Did I mention Mayor Emeritus George A. Pradel along with Bev Patterson Frier will be taking participants on a musical journey? Audience participation is encouraged!

There will be something for everyone at this fun and informative event.

Admission is free, but space is limited and registration is required. There will be refreshments, door prizes and a free boxed lunch provided. To register please call (630) 969-0992 and enter event code 10812.
