Metea Valley senior running back Bryson Oliver
Continuing his tremendous pace, Bryson Oliver broke the 250-yard mark for the third time this season in Metea Valley’s 38-37 loss at No. 7 Waubonsie Valley. Nearly helping his team engineer a miracle comeback against the highly-powered Warriors, Oliver ran for 258 yards and four TDs on 44 carries. On the year, Oliver has run for 1,158 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Naperville Central junior defensive back Garrett Purdy
Garrett Purdy intercepted three Evan Kujawski passes during No. 11 Naperville Central’s 27-6 victory over Naperville North. Picking up its fifth straight victory to become playoff eligible, Naperville Central’s defense forced five of six turnovers, which included four interceptions and a Daniel Delgrosso fumble recovery for a TD. Eight Redhawks have recorded interceptions this season.
