Neuqua Valley senior quarterback Broc Rutter

Broc Rutter was on point all night long for Neuqua Valley’s 69-27 victory over East Aurora. In helping the Wildcats establish a new single-game record for points, Rutter completed nine of his 11 passes for 244 yards and four TDs. Three of his four TD passes came in a first quarter that saw him go seven-of-eight passing for 178 yards.

Defensive Player of the Week

Naperville Central defense

Mike Ulreich’s defensive charges directly accounted for three of No. 12 Naperville Central’s four scores in its 28-14 victory over Glenbard North. Bobby McMillen, Jack Walsh and Rick Hatton did the honors as the Redhawks forced five Panther turnovers on the night. Hatton’s interception return of 96 yards with 30 seconds left helped sealed matters for the Redhawks, who have won four straight games.
