Naperville residents, brace yourselves for an evening of culinary thrills as Loaves & Fishes presents its eagerly anticipated annual event, Chef Showdown, on April 18. This captivating competition, presented in partnership with My Chef Catering, not only promises an entertaining evening but also serves as a vital means of support for the staggering number of individuals, 8,000, served by Loaves & Fishes on a weekly basis.
Stepping into the culinary ring this year are esteemed chefs from CityGate Grille and Santo Cielo. They will engage in a gastronomic battle, preparing three delectable courses for a panel of judges consisting of food connoisseurs, including Alderman Edward Bugg from the City of Aurora; Chef Cynthia Hyett, owner of Busy Butternut; Mike Sitrick, President & CEO of DuPage Foundation; and Dr. Anita Thomas, President of North Central College.
To add to the excitement, the chefs will receive assistance from celebrity sous chefs Colin Dalough, Endeavor Health; Alex Pope, Rush Copley Medical Center; Liz Spencer, NCTV17; and Cathy Subber, The Branch & Advanced Health Naperville. Loaves & Fishes board member Nicki Anderson will guide the audience through this culinary event, who will once again assume the emcee role for the evening.
