Naperville Restaurant Week / All day at Naperville restaurants / Starting January 19 and running through February 4, the Naperville Restaurant Week will showcase many restaurants throughout town. From fast casual to fancy dining, each venue will provide either a prix fixe menu at an appetizing price or discounts on featured menu choices. www.dinenaperville.com.

Brats at Kreger’s / 10AM to 3PM Fridays and Saturdays at Kreger’s Brat and Sausage Haus – 606 N. Ellsworth Naperville, IL 60563 / Stop by for lunch, conversation and camaraderie. And be sure to tell Bill Kreger that you know his wurst is the best. Be sure to ask Bill what he’s doing after the Super Bowl. 

January is National Hobby Month / What’s your hobby? When you put your heart into leisure activities, your mood likely will improve. Some folks collect teacups. Others collect shot glasses. Collect things you love. With more than 300 local restaurants, treat shops, sweet shops, etc., start a hobby this January during Naperville Restaurant Week of trying to visit them all within the next year and collect sales receipts for an album with reviews. Or plan to visit all 140 parks in Naperville and take a collectible photo! Hobbies don’t have to cost a lot of money. Considering the fact that campaign season is upon us, start collecting campaign buttons.

Be prepared to vote in the Illinois Primary Election on March 19, 2024. Watch for news of candidate forums.

Donate and encourage others to provide a gift of life / An emergency blood shortage now exists. During blood shortages, essential medical procedures may be delayed and distributions to hospitals of some of the most transfused blood types are being limited now. The American Red Cross urges the need for everyone’s help to alleviate the shortage and ensure lifesaving medical procedures are not delayed. / Donate blood, double red cells, or platelets at Versiti Blood Center of Illinois, located at 1297 S. Naper Boulevard. Open 7 days per week. / Also note the Vitalant Naperville Blood Donation Center is located at 2764 Aurora Avenue, open Tuesday through Saturday.
