Brats at Kreger’s / 10AM to 3PM Fridays and Saturdays at Kreger’s Brat and Sausage Haus – 606 N. Ellsworth Naperville, IL 60563 / Stop by for lunch, conversation and camaraderie. Plan a barbecue and pick up handcrafted bratwurst for the grill. And be sure to tell Bill Kreger that you know his wurst is the best. Football season is here!

Benton / West Suburban Irish presents a two-day extravaganza, Friday and Saturday, filled with family-friendly fun, honoring the vibrant heritage and captivating culture of Ireland. Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Irish music, as talented performers take the stage, filling the air with captivating melodies that will make your heart dance. ***Theater for Charity presents “Into the Woods” at Center Stage Theater /  7PM Fri., Sept. 22; 7PM Sat., Sept. 23; and 4:30PM Sun., Sept. 24. All proceeds raised from the production as well as the raffle and donations will benefit A.D.O.P.T. of Naperville, the community’s local no-kill shelter for dogs and cats. / Tickets are $28. ***Changing Seasons at Mesón Sabika / 11:30AM to 9PM / Find many choices at Mesón Sabika to sample Spanish tapas and delicious sangria for lunch and dinner. ***2023 Constitution Week wraps up Saturday! / Commemorate the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by 39 dedicated and brave individuals on September 17, 1787 every day. Plan an hour to read the founding document that makes a difference in this nation every day. Consider the First Amendment. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Learn all 27 Amendments. ***CAN’s Fall Fundraiser Silent Auction Officially Open / Community Access Naperville (CAN) works with more than 15 nonprofit organizations in and around Naperville, directly impacting the lives of over 12,000 residents of Naperville annually. CAN participants offer invaluable assistance to local nonprofits to help organizations accomplish their missions. Among the core principles of CAN’s community-based programs is that all adults have the ability to give back and serve the community in a meaningful way. The support received from the CAN Fall Fundraiser helps to ensure that differently-abled adults can thrive and that they can become a part of our special CAN community. Public Safety Open House / 10AM to 2PM / FREE family-friendly event presents police and fire demonstrations, safety resources and activities for all ages at Naperville’s Public Safety Campus, 1380 Aurora Ave. / Bring the whole family for this fun and educational day full of safety information, activities and giveaways as well as demonstrations by Naperville’s public safety teams. Attendees will watch Fire Department personnel conduct a water rescue, battle a flashover fire and extricate a victim from a crashed vehicle. See Police Department personnel make a mock traffic stop and DUI arrest, showcase the talents of the K-9 Unit, and demonstrate how the department utilizes drones and tasers. Loaves & Fishes Drive Through Food Drive / 9AM to 11AM / The community can participate by stopping by the Drive Through Food Drive on Sun., Sept. 24, at the Naperville Bank & Trust located at 5 S. Yom Kippur, the Holiest Day of the Year in the Jewish Community / 6PM /  Yom Kippur 2023 begins at sunset and ends at nightfall on Mon., Sept. 25. Services will be held at the Abrams Center for Jewish Life, 651 Amersale Drive.
