Renowned Colorado artist Emanuel Martines sculpted Jane Latshaw, a great granddaughter of John Naper, and Billy Scherer who were both born in Naperville in 1920 and attended elementary through high school here. Grade school sweethearts, they married in 1941 and spent the next 60 years as husband and wife. This art located on Main Street across from Sullivan’s serves to remind us all that every day can be Valentine’s Day!
