The annual Buddy Poppy fundraiser, usually held the week before Memorial Day, will run from Fri., Nov. 6 through Veterans Day, Wed., Nov. 11.
Note for 2020, masks must be worn! Distribution will be “touchless” with poppies poked onto a Styrofoam sheet so individuals can grab one themselves. More downtown locations (street corners) and all three libraries will be places to distribute Buddy Poppies.
Poppies will be available in the canteen at the Judd Kendall VFW.
What’s more, supporters can send checks or contribute electronically. All donation information will be on an updated “poppy page” at www.napervfw3873.org.
Again, Naperville Veterans Day observance will be at 11AM Wed., Nov. 11, at Veterans Park on Gartner Road. The public is welcome.
