Naperville printer and marketer Ray Kinney recently discussed Covid-19 business operations with Positively Naperville.
Independently owned and operated, Minuteman Press Naperville has been in its current location since 1980. They have a second location in St. Charles.
Minuteman Press has expanded over the years to include a commercial printing entity called Blooming Color, located in Lombard.
In addition, Ray Kinney is a partner in the boutique advertising and marketing firm MACLYN Group, which has an office located adjacent to Minuteman Press Naperville on Naperville-Wheaton Road.
Minuteman Press and its partner businesses have been classified as essential since the shutdown. They have seen a significant reduction in orders and revenues, with much of their staff working from home.
Working with community banks, Minuteman Press has been able to secure funds from the Paycheck Protection Program to help with payroll and related expenses. If the shutdown continues much longer, they will be forced to make some difficult decisions.
Kinney noted it’s hard to be charitable when your not profitable – shop local, start local.
