North Central College’s commencement ceremony for its Class of 2020 will be held beginning at 2PM on Sunday, May 3, the date and time the College originally had scheduled the graduation event.
This year, however, the annual North Central College graduation will be a virtual Commencement ceremony for its Class of 2020.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing measures, graduates, along with their families and friends, will be able to stream the webcast live from their homes so they can safely celebrate this important achievement. It remains the College’s intent to host an in-person Commencement ceremony later in the year when circumstances allow.
For the virtual ceremony, graduates have been invited to select a member of the College’s faculty or staff to record a personalized video of themselves reading the graduate’s name. All videos will be collected and stitched together to symbolize the moment in the Commencement ceremony where each graduate walks across the stage. This unique opportunity marks the special connection that North Central students make with members of the College’s faculty and staff who play a meaningful and influential role in helping them realize their life’s direction.
