The YMCA has a long history of providing summer camp experiences for children. With a healthy kid focus, extended care and fun field trips Y summer camps meet the needs of parents and kids. We stay committed to raising funds so no child is turned away for an inability to pay. We do this because we see firsthand the impact summer camp makes on our youth. Every summer we see youth develop confidence, build relationships, learn new skills and so much more.
This summer at the Y is going to be extra special with dozens of specialty camps that give youth an opportunity to pursue a passion more deeply or develop a new interest. Art, science, mystery, adventure and more!
Here’s just a sample of the special summer ahead for youth at the Y.
Art Explorers will explore different themes, creating works of art in a variety of media.
Mad Scientists will have a blast learning how science can be messy and fun! Campers will do some great messy science experiments such as slime, obelisk, volcanoes and more.
Camp littleBits™ is a STEAM program fostering problem-solving and critical thinking skills, all while having fun with science topics.
Babysitting Training introduces kids to babysitting basics. Topics such as child development, safety, and handling emergencies will help teens be more confident babysitters.
Lego Mania campers will be using their imagination to build bridges, buildings and more! Trips to Lego Land included!
Pirate Camp campers will use treasure maps and scavenger hunts to search for treasure, build spy glasses and go on adventures!
Mystery Detective campers will investigate mysteries, learn the art of finding and reading clues and discovering the ‘who done it’.
Audio Visual campers can express their creative visions while learning the mechanics of using cameras and AV equipment.
Survivor Camp youth participate in exciting challenges, solve mind-bending puzzles and work as a team to become the ultimate survivor!
