Naperville has quacked its way to the top of another prestigious list – Duck Inc. Magazine’s annual  “Best Nesting Towns USA.”

The annual list rates America’s best towns and wildlife areas for ducks to find mates, build nests and lay eggs. Over 100 factors are considered and carefully scrutinized by the nation’s top ornithologists.

Factors include conservation efforts by humans, natural food supply, purity of water flow and other factors.

Imagine Naperville tops the list for its duck-friendly and sociable confines along the Riverwalk adjacent to downtown.

Wildlife experts noted, “The West Branch of the DuPage River has an exceptional supply of natural foods, including snails, slugs, beetles, worms, seeds and various plant matter.”

Other notable towns topping the list for the fun of it are the Wisconsin Dells (No. 2), Disneyland, Calif. (No. 5) and Duckland (No.8).
