Karl Lagerfeld once said, “What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.” Following up that thought, you can conclude that if a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is surely worth a million!
If you’re like me, far too often I show up at a sporting event or fine arts performance with my video camera in my purse to capture a memory, only to get caught up enjoying it, and no way to revisit the magical moment.
While NCTV17 can’t fix that problem, we can help some of you relive your daughter’s game winning soccer goal, spouse’s vocal solo, or your child’s correct spelling of the word oscillatory during the IPSD204 Middle School Spelling Bee.
Our station reporters and production crews are out around town seven days a week capturing news stories, sports highlights, and community events. Those video memories are then made available for purchase through our website at NCTV17.com. It’s one of the ways the station, as a nonprofit 501(c)(3), helps fund itself.
With high school graduation right around the corner, perhaps you want a DVD of your athlete’s sports highlights from “Naperville Sports Weekly” to show at their party. Or, you might want a DVD of an entire community event such as the Neuqua Valley Orchesis, the Naperville Municipal Band concert or the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Either way, just go to: www.nctv17.com to buy a DVD and look for a menu of options.
If you want to relive or share your memories, check out NCTV17 and see if we have what you’re looking for. If our team was at the event, I can guarantee that, unlike my personal camera experience, NCTV17’s cameras will have been turned on and focused on all the action!
