‘Property Tax Town Hall’ is slated for April 27 in Naperville Central Little Theatre

State Senator Michael Connelly and Naperville Township Assessor Warren Dixon have announced the time and location of a Property Tax Town Hall meeting slated for April 27.

Beginning at 7PM Wed., April 27, local residents can join Connelly and Dixon for an informative and interactive session on property taxes. The two-hour event will be held at the Naperville Central High School Little Theatre, Room 112, located at 440 Aurora Ave.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

A look at property taxes, plus Q&A

 What factors most impact property taxes?

 What should you expect in future years?

 Are you receiving applicable property tax exemptions?

 Interactive question and answer session.

Additional topics of discussion will include the Tax Base, Public Education Funding, Pension Reform, Exemptions, Consolidation & Shared Services as well as an update about the Local Government Consolidation and Unfunded Mandates Task Force.

“This will be a great interactive session where residents can have all their questions answered,” Dixon said.

Six Townships Serving Naperville Meet April 12

Beginning after 6PM Tues., April 12, all 1,433 townships in the State of Illinois will host their Annual Town Hall Meetings at their respective locations.

According to Illinois Township Code, “the annual township meeting in the respective townships for the transaction of the business of the township shall be held on the second Tuesday of April in each year, after 6PM, at the place appointed for those meetings.”

The City of Naperville is served by townships Naperville, Wheatland, DuPage, Lisle, Winfield and Milton. All six townships will hold their annual meetings at the same time in different locations on Tues., April 12, 2016.

Registered voters in their respective townships may sign up to speak prior to the beginning of the meeting.

Reports on the agenda from elected officials for the Naperville Township Town Hall include one from Naperville Township Assessor Warren Dixon.

The Naperville Township Annual Town Hall will begin at 7PM, taking place at the Naperville Township Road District Office, 31W331 North Aurora Road.
