Chicago a cappella will perform at The Wentz on Dec. 18

Holidays-2015-badge.220x250Before Holiday a cappella takes the stage at Wentz Concert Hall on December 18, Chicago a cappella will launch Chicago’s holiday music season with its memorable performance at Rockefeller Chapel on November 29.

Prepared by Guest Music Director Benjamin Rivera, the concert includes familiar carols, Christmas spirituals, Chanukah melodies, and contemporary works for the holiday season.

“This concert will please lots of musical tastes, and these beautiful venues add a lot to the enjoyment of the experience,” said Jonathan Miller, Artistic Director of Chicago a cappella. “We’re particularly looking forward to our return to the glorious acoustic of the Wentz Concert Hall at North Central College,” he added.

Holidays a cappella will be performing at the Wentz Concert Hall at 8PM on Fri., Dec. 18, 2015. Tickets range from $12.00-38.00.

Chicago a cappella will perform works by John Tavener and Arvo Pärt, along with music from Spain, Nigeria, and Puerto Rico. A cappella arrangements by Chicago-area residents Paul Carey and Paul Langford will be featured, as will several new settings by Jonathan Miller.

In total, the accomplished vocal ensemble will present six performances of the program from November 29 through December 19 throughout the Chicago area for the holiday season.
