Brief Bio José Porcel & Dancers

From Madrid, Spain, José Porcel and his troupe of dancers and live orchestra present a spectacle of classic flamenco as it was danced and performed by the great masters, such as Antonio Gades, Jose Greco and the Great Antonio. Porcel and the company perform a traditional program of the art of flamenco.

This breathtaking extravaganza represents the purity and authenticity of the golden age of flamenco. The choreography, costumes and music have been faithfully reproduced to ensure a wonderful program of the great moments of flamenco.

At age 13, Porcel began dancing Andalucian folkloric dances and flamenco in cultural centers in Valencia, Spain. His dance studies started at 16 with master Martín Vargas and continued when Porcel moved to Madrid. In 1989 he made his professional debut with the Ballet de Valencia, directed by Martín Vargas, and was promoted to soloist in the company the following year. From there, Porcel has brought his performances all over the world, from Germany to Switzerland to the United States and more.
