Above / Sandwiched between banners, Glessna Coisson, who founded the Naperville Independent Film Festival with her husband, Edmond, invited film-goers to learn about the upcoming event during the recent Naperville Woman’s Club Fine Art Fair held at Naper Settlement.
The 8th Annual Naperville Independent Film Festival will take place this September 12-19, with the Opening Premiere and Closing Night Awards Ceremony being held at the Hollywood Blvd. Movie Theater, located at 1001 W. 75th St., in Woodridge.
The Sunday night and weeknight Premieres and Official Selections will be screened at the AMC Showplace 16 Theater, located at 2815 Show Place Drive in Naperville.
Films from the ECU, the European Film Festival located in Paris, France, will be shown at Smith Hall in Old Main, 30 N. Brainard St., located on the campus of North Central College.
Above / Handsome trophies, designed to honor winners of the Naperville Independent Film Festival, will be presented by category during the Closing Night Awards Ceremony.
The schedules and film screening times for this year’s Film Festival, also known as NIFF, will be up on its website, naperfilmfest.org, by the second week in August.

Join NIFF on July 16
Meanwhile, the next regular meeting for the 2015 Naperville Independent Film Festival will be held at 7PM Thursday, July 16, in Meeting Room A at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St.
In addition to discussing NIFF 2015, focus will be directed to the distribution of the NIFF 2015 postcards and posters. Current and new volunteers are welcome to attend this meeting.
