North Central College welcomes pianist Robin Spielberg on Feb. 22

North Central College presents prolific pianist, composer and speaker Robin Spielberg in a cabaret series concert Feb. 22.

The concert begins at 6PM Sunday, Feb. 22, in the College’s Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Tickets are $35 and $30; call the North Central College Box Office 630-637-SHOW (7469) or visitnorthcentralcollege.edu/showtix.

Brief Bio

Spielberg has been winning the hearts of listeners around the world with her compelling melodies and sensitive piano technique since her 1993 debut recording of original solos for piano, “Heal of the Hand.” Spielberg has 16 recordings toher credit and appears on more than 40 compilations around the world. Her discography includes albums of original piano solos and arrangements of American standards, among others.

Audiences have been entertained and touched by Spielberg’s live concerts. “Robin Spielberg has an undeniable melodic gift,” the New York Concert Review said of her Carnegie Hall debut.

Spielberg’s “book release concert” will incorporate hilarious excerpts from her new book, “Naked on the Bench: My Adventures in Pianoland.” The memoir, which was featured on numerous National Public Radio stations and in book clubsnationwide, demystifies the process of building a concert career and the life of a touring musician.
