Waubonsie Valley senior quarterback Zack Bennema and Metea Valley senior running back Bryson Oliver
Waubonsie Valley’s Zack Bennema had 340 total yards while accounting for all five of the Warriors’ touchdowns in their 35-28 victory over No. 23 Neuqua Valley. Bennema threw for a season-high 260 yards and three touchdowns, including two in the direction of Keaton Casey. Meanwhile, continuing his tremendous pace, Bryson Oliver broke the 250-yard mark yet again in Metea Valley’s 47-27 win at Glenbard East. Oliver ran for 250 yards and three TDs on 38 carries. On the year, Oliver has run for 1,468 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Naperville Central junior defensive back Garrett Purdy
Garrett Purdy intercepted his team-high fourth pass in No. 7 Naperville Central’s 17-10 victory at Lake Park. Purdy’s second-quarter interception proved pivotal as the Redhawks held off a late Lake Park rally to pick up their seventh straight victory. Redhawks have recorded 12 interceptions from eight players this season.
