As road crews are finishing construction on Main Street between Van Buren and Benton avenues this month, build-out for retail and second-floor office suites in the new Main Street Promenade East is taking shape in downtown Naperville.
DAVIDsTEA was the first shop to open with a meet and steep for the public on Sat., Aug. 16. Going forward, hours are 9AM to 9PM every day except Sunday. Sunday hours are 10AM to 7PM.
EVEREVE, formerly Hot Mama’s with a current location along Van Buren, will move to Main Street Promenade East near Benton Avenue as the second retail shop to open this month. In fact, Hot Mama’s is slated to close at the end of the day on Tues., Aug. 19, and reopen as Evereve in its new retail space along Main Street on Wednesday.
An “American multi-brand,” J.Crew, offering an assortment of women’s, men’s and children’s apparel, will follow in September; and high-end women’s retailer Anthropologie, another primary tenant, anticipates opening in October, according to developers Ruth and Dwight Yackley of BBM Incorporated.
All retail shops are expected to be open before the 2014 holiday season. The second level will house Regus corporate office suites.
Since the ground-breaking last October, Main Street has been rebuilt and realigned to accommodate the project. The developer’s attractive streetscape improvements, now in progress, soon will be in place.
