The Naperville Woman’s Club recently elected its officers for the 2013-2014 club year.
The installation ceremony, held during the club’s Annual Meeting in April at the Naperville Country Club, was conducted by Diane Addante, President-elect of the Illinois General Federation of Womens Clubs.
The 2013-2014 officers are Janet Coffey, President; Julie Ulaszek, Membership Vice President; Colette Mahoney, Meetings Vice President; Ann Bobrowicz, Communications Vice President; Julie Cunningham, Secretary; and Carol Showalter, Treasurer.
Chief among the club’s goals for the coming year is raising $83,000 for remodeling to make the club’s Naperville Local Landmark building, The Old Stone Church, accessible to those with limited mobility. Several fundraisers are planned, and donations and grants will be sought from public and private sources.
In addition, the club will continue the membership drive that recently has brought in 24 new members.
The Naperville Woman’s Club 54rd Annual Juried Fine Art Fair will return to Naper Settlement on July 13-14. It’s annual fashion show is set at White Eagle Golf Club for Sat., Oct. 19.

Background on NWC: The Naperville Woman’s Club is a philanthropic organization devoted to supporting the arts, education and community service. Established in 1897, it is one of the longest established organizations in Naperville. The club’s headquarters are in the landmark building, The Old Stone Church, at 14 S. Washington Street in downtown Naperville. The NWC each year puts on the Juried Fine Art Fair at Naper Settlement, a fall fashion show, the Young Adult Art Contest, and several other fund-raising events.
