WDSRA celebrates opening of 95th Street Center

-

Creative Corner, an art class for adults with special needs, will be one of the programs offered by WDSRA through the Naperville Park District’s 95th Street Center.

If you look closely enough, life is full of reasons to celebrate. Those involved with Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) know this. And when something good is created – something that wasn’t there before – it just makes you want to throw a party! And that is exactly what is planned as the Naperville Park District invites all to their grand opening celebration of the 95th Street Center.

With the opening of the center, residents in south Naperville will now have easy-drive access to Naperville Park District programs. And, (as if to add icing to the cake), those too with special needs can enjoy recreational programming close to home, as WDSRA will offer programs such as yoga, Zumba, art, and cooking classes, as well as social clubs and family events.

So join WDSRA as we celebrate the grand opening of the 95th Street Center with the Naperville Park District on Saturday, December 8 from 9-11:30AM. Stop by our display to say hello and try out our “vision simulator” and Braille books. These are some of the tools that allow us to educate the community on what it might be like to have a disability.

Visit www.napervilleparks.org for information on the event. Visit www.wdsra.com to learn more about WDSRA.
