November is the transition month for retailers. Getting in new and familiar merchandise for the holidays, buttoning up the building for the cold weather and adjusting to different shopping patterns is all part of the independent business we love.
We will maintain our long-held practice of not decorating for Christmas until after the Thanksgiving holiday is over, digested and appreciated. I find it funny that Target is making the papers because they have decided to try it this year, too.
Hopefully, the cold weather is a sign that our “traffic nightmare summer” is nearly over. We have taken a financial hit thanks to a summer of road construction. I am hoping that we will get our business back to normal soon.
Our Wild Bird Seed Sale! starts on November 1. Big discounts on our already great bird seed prices will run all during the month. Unlike the years when the sale was only held on one weekend, our customers will have plenty of time every day in November to stock up for the winter!
Thank you!
