Naperville Community Unit School District 203 today announced the appointment of Janet Yang Rohr to the Board of Education. The Board voted to approve her appointment at the July 17 meeting. Rohr replaces Board member Mike Jaensch who resigned in June to relocate for work.
After a lengthy process and consideration of 28 candidates, the Board of Education appointed Rohr to fill the current vacancy on the Board. Rohr attended Naperville 203 schools from fifth through 12th grade. Her three children also attend or will attend school in the District.
Rohr is currently the Director of Manager Research and Global Rating Lead, Multi-Asset and Alternatives Investments for Morningstar, Inc. in Chicago. She has previously worked at Northern Trust Investments and Aon Corporations. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder and was named a 2014 Rising Star of Mutual Funds by Institutional Investor and Fund Industry Intelligence.
“Mrs. Rohr will be an excellent addition to the Board of Education. Her financial experience combined with knowledge of the school district and the Naperville community make her the right choice,” said Dan Bridges, Superintendent of Schools.
Rohr has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Rohr will begin serving on the Board of Education July 17 continuing until 2019 when the position will be up for re-election.
