Members of the Naperville Police Department’s Investigations Division and High Technology Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on Friday, October 2, 2015, in the 1900 block of Alta Vista Court after a several-month-long investigation into file sharing involving images and videos of child pornography.
The resident was taken into custody after numerous images of child pornography were located on his computer.
The suspect, identified as Ryan M. Gutierrez, 29 years old, was subsequently charged with the following:
1 Count of Dissemination of Child Pornography (Class X Felony)
3 Counts of Possession of Child Pornography (Class 3 Felony)
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6666. Gutierrez was subsequently transported to the DuPage County Jail to await a bond hearing.
The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
