April is a month of some contrasting holidays. It begins with April Fools Day and then the intimidating Tax Day, April 15. Sandwiched in between there’s one that’s not quite so formidable – Student Athlete Day, April 6.
That’s the day on which we are to celebrate student athletes, something that Century Walk began doing in 2021 with the creation of Naperville‘s Notable Athletes Mural located on the north side of Sullivan‘s in downtown Naperville.
The mural celebrates the diversity of the community honoring our student athletes of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and abilities including Candace Parker, Sean Payton, Evan Lysacek and 12 others who attended area high schools and gained national and international recognition playing a round of golf with members of the Napervile Country Club in celebration of the Club’s 100th anniversary.
