On November 2, Little Friends was set to formally celebrate the opening of our new Adult Services facility located at 27545 Diehl Road in Warrenville.
With more than 150 guests expected to attend, our new Activity Center located directly in the center of our building named after our past Chairman and civic leader Dan Casey also was ready to open. Dan left us earlier this year way too early and naming the Activity Center after Dan seemed only fitting to recognize his past support and commitment to the work Little Friends has been able to do in the community.

Dan served on the Little Friends for over 15 years with at least four of those years as Chairman of the Board. Dan was a wonderful ambassador for Little Friends and led by example his commitment to helping those individuals and families dealing with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities.
However, even bigger was Dan’s commitment to helping Naperville become the community it is today. Whether it was supporting Little Friends or other organizations in town who do such good work, Dan was a fixture who “walked the talk” when it came to providing help. His generosity was a part of whom he was, and our community is better because of his commitment to helping others.
The picture above is the plaque on the wall when you enter our new facility.
It is a wonderful reminder of the good work and impact Dan has had at Little Friends.

Editor’s Note / Above photos were taken during the Little Friends 1965 Society Dinner that included the dedication of the Dan Casey Activity Center. The recognition event was held at the recently opened Adult Day Services Facility, 27545 Diehl Road in Warrenville.
