Friday

Brats at Kreger’s / 10AM to 3PM Fridays and Saturdays at Kreger’s Brat and Sausage Haus – 606 N. Ellsworth Naperville, IL 60563 / Stop by for lunch, conversation and camaraderie. Plan a barbecue and pick up handcrafted bratwurst for the grill. And be sure to tell Bill Kreger that you know his wurst is the best. Football season is here!

Changing Seasons on the Patios at Mesón Sabika / 11:30AM to 9PM / Find a choice in patios at Mesón Sabika to sample Spanish tapas and delicious sangria for lunch and dinner. Located just west of downtown Naperville at 1025 Aurora Avenue, Mesón Sabika has been serving the community since 1990. Built in 1847, the historic mansion with eight air-conditioned dining rooms is set in a beautifully landscaped four-acre estate, providing a welcoming sight with plenty of parking for lunch, dinner, special events, benefits, weddings, meetings and family gatherings throughout the year. Wes Spencer Crosstown Classic / 7PM / Tickets ($7 for adults and $5 for seniors 62+, and all Naperville 203 students of any grade level) to football game between Naperville North and Naperville Central are now on sale electronically via Go Fan. Sophomore game begins at 4:30PM. Game is played at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on the campus of North Central College and considered a “home game” for Naperville Central in 2023. (Update / NCHS Redhawks win over NNHS Huskies, 21-14.) 

Saturday

Naperville Farmers Market / 7AM to Noon at Fifth Avenue Station – 200 East 5th Ave. Naperville, IL 60540 / The Farmers Market runs June through November with June-November we host 50-plus vendors every Saturday 7AM-noon.

We Grow Dreams Fall Sale / 9AM to 2PM / Foyo Plaza along Water Street in downtown Naperville / Huge mums, porch pots, hanging baskets, pumpkins, hay bales and more will be available. Proceeds support employment and training for young adults with disabilities. We Grow Dreams is a professional nonprofit nursery and greenhouse providing training and employment to young adults who have graduated from high school transition programs.

Life Skills for Teens / 1PM to 4PM / Hosted by Exchange Club of Naperville at the Alive Center, 500 Fifth Avenue / The goal of the fair is to connect the youth, grades five through 12, with resource skills and lessons that will last a lifetime. FREE.

Enjoy Family-Friendly Quigley’s Irish Pub / 8:30PM at Quigley’s Irish Pub – 43 E. Jefferson Ave. Naperville, IL 60540 / Quigley’s Irish Pub features live music Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Stop by for a cool pint, live music and honest pub fare. Weather permitting, the patio is open every day!

Sunday

Little Friends & Family Fun Walk / Register at 8:30AM. Step off at 9:30AM. Walk ends by 11:30AM. / Hosted at St. James Farm in Warrenville. $5 per person. Kids under three are free. Joining the morning walk will be recreational, therapeutic, as well as legal/financial resources to offer support and information to caregivers Click here for more info.

Oktoberfest Fundraiser at Peanuts Bar & Grill / Noon to 6PM at Peanut’s Bar & Grill – 22 W. Chicago Ave. Naperville, IL 60540 / Donations excepted / Peanuts in downtown Naperville will be holding its annual Oktoberfest fundraiser to support Naperville Responds for Veterans. Beer, brats and bands.

Find a variety of beautiful winding trails throughout the Naperville Park District where 138 parks welcome all ages. Experience places to enjoy quiet and reflection among nature in the heart of a thriving city.

When strolling the Riverwalk, look for bronze plaques that help tell the story of this community’s can-do spirit to create the Riverwalk Park along the DuPage River. In 2021, dozens of commemorative plaques from Main Street to Jefferson Avenue were restored by the Riverwalk Foundation.
