Happy springtime, Napervillians! Erika here again! As you’ve undoubtedly noticed, it’s a very busy time of year in Naperville, especially at the Fry Family YMCA.
If you haven’t had a chance to register your youth for 2023 YMCA Day Camp, now is the time. At the Fry Family Y and across the YMCA of Metro Chicago, we expect most of our day camp slots to fill, so get that registration in soon.

On tap for 2023 day camp in Naperville: traditional day camp, preschool day camp, Counselors in Training day camp, and a myriad of specialty and sports camps, ranging from STEAM-based and DIY crafting camps to flag-football and basketball camps. There’s even a superhero day camp in mid-June! We say this a lot at the Y, and it’s true for day camp as well: we’ve got something for everyone.
Speaking of “something for everyone,” I encourage you to check out our jobs and career listings online, or to stop by the Fry Family YMCA to learn about roles we’re working to fill! I speak from experience when I say that the Y is a fun, enriching, and fulfilling place to work, whether it’s in education, fitness, operations, or any other area.
Since summer is quickly approaching, we’re working hard to recruit camp counselors and aquatics staff, including lifeguards and swim instructors. Regardless of your role at the Y, you will teach life skills, encourage healthy and safe behaviors, and create a positive experience for Naperville individuals and families.
