‘Step Up for Little Friends’ welcomes walkers on October 16

Above / St. James Farm, just north of Naperville, is easily located from its east entrance along Butterfield Road.
Update, Oct. 16, 2022 / Step Up for Little Friends is now a completed memory of a cool, crisp and picturesque morning at St. James Farm in the DuPage Forest Preserve. For the second year in a row, the new location served to create awareness, fundraising and gratitude for many spirited families and dedicated volunteers along a short or long route in the sunshine. Watch for the Little Friends event to return at the same time in 2023.
Original Post, Sept. 25, 2022 / The 2022 Step Up for Little Friends walk is set for Sun., Oct. 16, at St. James Farm Forest Preserve in Warrenville. The family-friendly autumn morning walk again welcomes the community to attend to support the mission of Little Friends. Check in will open at 8:30AM and the walk will start at 9:30AM.
In 2021, President/CEO Mike Briggs welcomed families to a crisp autumn sunny day and to Step Up for Little Friends at the St. James Farm Forest Preserve, just north of Naperville.
Each registration comes with an event T-shirt. Adults (13 and up) are $30. Children (12 and under) are free with an adult. (Kindly note that t-shirts ordered after Sept. 25 or in October are not guaranteed size preference.)
Join the walk knowing that all active participation helps support Little Friends and more than 900 individuals and their families by:
  • Offsetting the cost of providing more children with early intervention therapies
  • Upgrading our facilities to accommodate all abilities
  • Funding interactive learning activities for students
  • Assisting with respite care for families in need
  • Providing community outing experiences
  • Bringing hope to families seeking support.
