Above / Naperville residents Cadet Nicholas Wandi and Cadet Samuel Wehrli are 2022 West Point graduates.
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Cadets Samuel Wehrli, son of Scott and Lynda Wehrli and Nicholas Wandi, son of Azmi and Cynthia Wandi, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy on Sat., May 21., 2022.
Wehrli graduated from Marmion Academy in 2018. While at West Point, he concentrated in law & legal studies.
Wandi graduated from Naperville Central High School in 2018. He concentrated in Mechanical Engineering at West Point.
Both Cadets were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army within the Field Artillery branch. Wehrli will report to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, for his first assignment. Wandi will report to Ft. Carson, Colorado.
The mission of the U.S. Military Academy is to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army.
