2022 National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is April 30

-

Above / National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is every day at the Naperville Police Department, 1350 Aurora Avenue. Outdated and unused prescription drugs can be deposited every day in a secure drop box inside the lobby from 7AM to 8PM, no questions asked.

April 30 is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day!

The day is set aside to promote providing a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications, especially medication not prescribed for you.

However, as folks at the Community Alliance for Prevention say, “You don’t have to wait for just one day a year.”

Naperville offers several safe medication drop box locations that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year at local fire stations and the Naperville Police Department.
Naperville’s Prescription Drug Drop Box Program was launched in 2014, only days before National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The program aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential for the abuse of medications. No questions will be asked.

When you do spring-cleaning this year, be sure to go through your medicine cabinet to dispose of any old or unused medications.
