Public invited to final meeting about 248th Avenue improvements between 95th Street and 103rd Street. Construction is tentatively expected to begin in 2024 and last for approximately 12 months.
A third and final public information meeting has been scheduled to discuss planned improvements to 248th Avenue. The meeting will be held from 5 to 7PM on Wednesday, Dec. 8, in Meeting Room A/B of the 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Road.
At the meeting, City staff and the project consultant will present the preferred alternative for the project, which was developed using community feedback from previous meetings. They will also discuss the project timeline and answer questions.
The City has identified the need to improve the portion of 248th Avenue that runs from 95th Street to 103rd Street. The goal of this project is to create a better driving experience for motorists, as well as better recreational experiences for bicyclists and pedestrians. Construction is tentatively expected to begin in 2024 and last for approximately 12 months.
