Maintenance work on the Diehl Road railroad crossing is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 12, 2021, and be complete by Friday, July 16, pending weather and unforeseen circumstances.
Work by the Canadian National (CN) Railway to pull and replace several pads and track from the crossing and install new asphalt will require a complete closure of the railroad crossing on Diehl Road between Route 59 and Eola Road.
Detour signage will be posted for motorists; however, due to ongoing construction on nearby roadways, motorists are also encouraged to consider additional alternate routes, including use of Ferry Road to the north and Jefferson Avenue to the south.
Access to businesses and facilities near or adjacent to the crossing will be maintained.
