The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise has launched its 22nd Annual Winter Coat Drive to benefit those in need of warm winter clothing.
The annual collection kicked off at the club’s weekly breakfast meeting on Oct. 16 at the Naperville Country Club and runs through Nov. 18.
Rotary volunteers are placing boxes in the community to receive donations of new or gently used coats, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves and mittens. All men, women, teens, and children’s sizes, infant through XXXL adult, are accepted.
Annual Rotary Sunrise Winter Clothing Drive begins!
“The mission of Rotary is ‘Service Above Self,’ and we are proud to partner with 360 Youth Services for their teen and young adult residential clients and Sharing Connections to deliver warm clothing to those in our area who are in need in the upcoming winter season,” said Mike Tenuta, Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise President. “The Naperville community has always been very generous, and we look forward to another successful Winter Clothing Drive.”
Look for collection boxes in downtown Naperville
As the need grows, the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise continues to attract new and returning collection partners. This year, select downtown businesses include Anderson’s Bookshop, Anderson’s Toy Shop, and Naperville Bank & Trust.
Find locations throughout Naperville, too…
This year, in addition to the Naperville Fire Department Administration Building at 1380 Aurora Avenue, collection boxes will be placed at Colbert Custom Framing & Art Printing in Market Meadows, Coldwell Banker at 1212 S. Naper Boulevard, DuPage Unitarian Universalist Church, Dutchman Heating at 400 E. Ogden Avenue, Fort Hill Activity Center, Fry YMCA on 95th Street, Gerald Subaru, Grow Wellness Group in Fifth Avenue Station, Naperville Bank & Trust (all three locations), Raymond James at 620 N. River Road, as well as at Naperbrook and Springbrook Golf Courses.
Organizers are grateful to all for donating warm gently-used clothing no longer needed to the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise Winter Coat Drive. For 2020, donations will benefit 360 Youth Services and Sharing Connections.
