Just in time for the City’s annual leaf collection that begins Mon., Oct. 19, enterprising middle school students have organized a leaf-raking service for neighbors in the West Wind subdivision and thereabouts.
Signs attached to lamp posts along Sequoia Road explain their service.
Lead leaf raker Anders Moranchek will provide a cost estimate for the front yard, back yard or both. Simply text Moranchek at (630) 222-0779 to arrange an appointment after 3PM any weekday.
A team of three leaf rakers will show up to rake leaves to the curb, weather permitting.
Service is available by appointment after 3PM on school days and throughout the day on weekends.
Currently, the brilliant yellow canopy created by ash trees along Sequoia Road is quickly losing its leaves. The above photo was taken Oct. 11. The one below was taken Oct. 13.
The City’s bulk curbside leaf collection program will begin on Mon., Oct. 19. The City’s free program provides every neighborhood three collection opportunities during a six-week period, weather permitting.
To participate in the City’s program, homeowners are asked to have leaves raked into the street next to the curb by 6AM on the first day of each collection cycle.
Care should be taken to keep storm drains cleared of leaf piles in the event of rain to help prevent flooding.
Collection cycles of two weeks each throughout Naperville neighborhoods are scheduled to begin on Mondays, Oct. 19, Nov. 2; and Nov. 16.
For more information about booking leaf-raking service in time for the City’s leaf collection, contact Moranchek after 3PM on school days.
