-

Above / With a chance to train with world-renown Brazilian coach Antonio Jose Azevedo, aka Zego, registration is now in progress for summer camp at Cadence Soccer and Futsal Center, located about 16 miles beyond Naperville at 2250 S. Chicago in Joliet.

When youngsters train at Cadence Soccer and Futsal Center, they become part of an elite group of players with an opportunity to train with Antonio Jose Azevedo, known as “Zego.”

With more than 40 years of experience in training kids, Director of Coaching Zego is considered among the best futsal coaches. His career includes coaching young and professional players such as the best futsaller in the world, “Ricardinho.”

“Zego is truly an extraordinary coach and player and is uniquely qualified to lead futsal development in any country, but he chose to come here to Joliet,” said Rocky Caylor, managing partner at Cadence.

During his 40-plus years of experience in futsal, Zego has earned almost every accolade possible in the sport, Caylor adds, noting that as a player who hails from Brazil, Zego won three South American championships, two Brazilian championships, and four Sao Paulo state championships.

He later became a celebrated coach leading some of the best teams in the world to national and international championships, including G.R. Citrosuco and A.A. Fazenda Itamarti in Brazil and Jaen FS and Caja Castilla La Mancha in Spain.

Zego is especially famous for his 1981 invention of the “4-0” formation. The “4-0” formation revolutionized the game and is now utilized by all the top teams in the world, including FC Barcelona, Inter Movi-Star, and the National Futsal Teams of Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Portugal, Russia, and USA.
In addition to a futsal court, three soccer fields are featured inside Cadence Soccer & Futsal Center.

Caylor credits his business partner, Tom Macuilis, with helping to develop the concept for Cadence Soccer and Futsal Center that welcomed the instruction of the Brazilian coach to create the youth programs and camps.

“Tom is a former European soccer player and played in the pro network in Germany. He really drove the thought so we could develop our vision and direction that we followed for the kids,” Caylor said.

Cadence Soccer and Futsal Center, a new state-of-the-art indoor facility, is located at 2250 S. Chicago in Joliet, just minutes from Naperville locations.

With one futsal court, three turfed fields (5v5) that can be converted into one large field (8v8 or 9v9), a full-size cafeteria, VIP lounge, soccer store, and sophisticated locker rooms, Cadence Soccer and Futsal Center welcomes all ages of youngsters to learn.
